Emerging Leaders Training Weekend

Nau mai, haere mai to our emerging leaders from across the region. Whether you're year 12, 13 or a first year school leaver, we're looking forward to having you at our overnight training hui, held at the start of 2026.

 

The kaupapa of this weekend is to kickstart your leadership development training and equip you for your youth contexts. This will also be a great chance to connect with other emerging leaders from the AYM movement who are in the same waka as you.

An idea of the weekend:

We'll all be staying in a house together with bunks, there will be some chunks of content over the weekend (3-4 workshops around an hour long) on topics directly connected to emerging young leaders and youth workers (e.g. how to run an activity, share a testimony story).  Lots of mean kai, fun activities and games that make up the rest of our time together. It will have a laid back atmosphere, with time to connect and build friendships with others over the weekend too.
